We are not currently breeding for Tibetan Mastiffs puppies.

Sunset Tibetan is a highly ethical, small, family-owned Pacific Northwest breeder, located in Southwest Washington on 10 1/2 acres at the west end of the magnificent Columbia River Gorge. Our pack consists of Tibetan Mastiffs and Tibetan Terriers that live and play together on our scenic rural homestead. Our core dog family is one female adult Tibetan Mastiff, 4 Tibetan Terrier females, and one Tibetan Terrier male as of winter 2015.

We raise such smart puppies!  Here is a letter sent recently  from one of our puppies to his mom, our Merry Alena:

Dear Mamma Merry,
It’s me….Harry.  It’s my second birthday and I’m thinking about you, my Mom.
I am so glad you birthed me and then gave me up for adoption.  I’m afraid you
would have given up on me my first 14 months….my owners almost did.  Time
outs taught me how to get along in life.  Please tell Dan and Tina how much I
now appreciate this technique.  I am just the sweetest boy you could ever imagine.
(I’m sure I’d be your favorite!)  I love to have Spa moments after dinner when I get
my belly scratched.  I almost fall asleep during these wonderful times of relaxation.
I am so very handsome that people still stop and stare.

Well, I’m sure I have yummy presents to open so I’ll have to stop.
I love you, Mom,
Your Favorite Son Harrison

We have had Tibetan Terriers since 1995.  Our first TT litter was born in 2008. We got our first Tibetan Mastiff in 2005, CFar’s Kato.  Our dogs socialize as a dog clan, as both breeds did in ancient Tibet. We no longer plan on future Tibetan Mastiff litters.  Our purpose in raising Tibetan Terrier puppies is to share these unusual, highly intelligent dogs and puppies with carefully chosen families; to spread knowledge and appreciation of this ancient, exceptional breed of dog.

All of our dogs are AKC registered, with hip, eye, and elbow certifications.  We raise Tibetan Terriers .
